  5. HOLIDAY TRIP CAMP

    December 22, 9:00 AM - December 23, 5:00 PM @ R.L. Jones Center

    Children engage in exciting, stimulating, and fun recreation activities with friends. Campers will take trips, do arts and craft projects, play indoor and outdoor games, and swim. Campers will need to bring a towel, swimsuit, and a bag lunch every day. Juice and snacks are served daily. Optional early drop-off from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and late pick-up from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. are offered daily.     Beginners will learn the basics of skateboarding. Those who already know how to skate will learn new tricks. Participants must bring own lunch, snack, drink, board, and safety equipment (helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads). This fun, interactive camp addresses key issues for girls, including nutrition, bullying, body image, friendship,honesty, and respect, with the best part being a focus on craft and dance activities that are done during camp.     MARSH DISCOVERY FIELD TRIP DAY We'll take a nice walk at the Shem Creek Park where we'll slip off into the edges of the marsh to discover fiddler crabs, mud and peri-winkle snails, and mussels! Includes great wildlife viewing and identification of Shorebirds including herons, egrets, gulls, terns and more. Participants should bring their own drink and lunch.
