  1. Lowcountry Kids Expo & Easter Egg Hunt

    April 4, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Omar Convention Center

    Join us for a full day of learning and playing! The Lowcountry Kids Expo focuses on sharing essential resources regarding safety, health & wellness, special needs, education, child care, summer camps, and other important family topics, products, and services. The Expo offers free admission, free activities, and will be filled with exhibits and fun, interactive activity zones. Free children’s activities include bounce houses, face painting, an Easter Egg Hunt, stage performances, balloon art, crafts, and more. The Easter Egg Scavenger Hunts will be conducted in age groups starting at 12:30 pm: Ages 3 & under at 12:30 pm, ages 4-6 at 1:00 pm, and ages 7-9 at 1:30 pm. Don't forget to bring your baskets to collect the eggs! ALL ages are welcome to enjoy the free kids activities onsite for the day!     It’s time for another amazing, fun-filled season of Party at the Point! Entering its 15th year and billed as Charleston’s “premier happy hour concert series,” the long-running annual summer and fall concert series, Party at the Point, is hosted on on Friday Evenings from 5:30- 9:30pm at the beautiful Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina on Patriot’s Point. The 2015 summer series will run Friday, April 24-Friday, June 26. The family friendly event features live music, a full cash bar, including $3 draft beer while it lasts and plenty of food available for purchase. No Pets please. Please note, there is a $7 cover charge upon entry.

    Party at the Point, Charleston's Premier Happy Hour Concert Series, returns for its 15th Season. This weekly event takes place every Friday afternoon between April 24 and June 26 from 5:30-9:30pm at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina on Patriot's Point. Tickets are available at the gate for $7.   10. 'WELCOME HOME PARTY YOU NEVER GOT' for Vietnam Veterans

    Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum and the USS Yorktown Foundation welcome all Vietnam veterans, and those who wish to honor their service, to The Welcome Home Party You Never Got on April 24th, 2015 from 7:00-10:30 PM. It will be an opportunity to celebrate our Vietnam veterans and thank them for their service to this country. When our veterans returned from Vietnam, very few honored them. On April 24th, everyone is invited to join us for this long overdue celebration, which will include: •Live music from the 1960s and 1970s by The Explorers Club •Barbecue dinner, wine, and beer. Liquor available for purchase. •Access to the new and interactive Vietnam Experience Exhibit, spanning over 3.5 acres, landside of the USS YORKTOWN •Free parking

  11. 28th Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival

    April 26, 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM @ Memorial Waterfront Park

    The Annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival began in 1988 to support and honor local shrimpers. Overlooking beautiful Charleston Harbor in the picturesque Memorial Waterfront Park, the festival has evolved into one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for seafood lovers. Participants are treated to a boat parade and ceremonial blessing of the shrimp/fishing fleet, savory seafood samplings sold by some of Mount Pleasant's favorite restaurants, live music, an arts/crafts show, shag dancing and shrimp-eating contests, and family-friendly activities. Free admission & parking! Food and event memorabilia is available for purchase. The week leading up to the Blessing, Fleet Week, is full of fun events.

  12. 2015 Old Village Home, Garden & Art Tour

    The 2015 Old Village Home, Garden & Art Tour allows visitors to leisurely stroll through private homes and gardens while enjoying the diversity and charm unique to Mount Pleasant’s oldest neighborhood, the Old Village. Sample food prepared by restaurant chefs in kitchens and on outside patios. Plein Air artists are in gardens along the tour route, offering their works for sale. On your self-guided tour through the seven properties, docents are available to provide you with fascinating facts and tidbits.

  13. Bowling After a Cure

    April 26, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Sparians River Bowl Charleston

    Chase After a Cure, which raises money for childhood cancer research, is hosting a team fundraising event, Bowling After a Cure. Each team will consist of a team captain plus five or six team members. Prior to the event, teams will fundraise for Chase After a Cure either online via Crowdrise.com or with pledge forms. Each individual bowler is required to raise at least $100; teams are required to raise a minimum of $500. Anyone can attend and watch the teams bowl and individuals are encouraged to make donations at the event. Teams will celebrate with an afternoon of free bowling at Sparians, pizza and prizes for the top three fundraising teams. There also will be a prize for the most creative fundraiser among the teams.
